Oxbow has made an awesome movie called the Waterman Experience. The movie features Kai Lenny, Levi Siver, Duane DeSoto, Jason Polakow and Laird Hamilton. It covers all methods and styles of riding waves, from Stand Up Paddling to windsurfing to longboarding to body surfing and more. Since I run a retail store – there is never really any reason for me to go shopping at West Edmonton Mall. I do how ever go to “The Mall” (as it is known in Edmonton) to Surf. Last night was another Easy Rider Surf Session. From 6:30 to 9:30 at night – with an outside temperature of -18C – in Edmonton – we surfed. I played around with my GoPro HD – even mounting it to the bottom of the board in one of the FCS boxes.

The other night I was given the opportunity to display some SUP boards at the first ever City of Edmonton – “Paul Kane 1847 Christmas Dinner”. The dinner was a fund raiser for the Rundle Park Paddling Center and the EPCA.  It was held at Fort Edmonton in the “Clerk’s Quarters” and featured a true 1847 dinner of Bison, wild goose and all the trimmings.
