Now that it is cooling off – – it’s time to go surfing – INDOORS! That’s right – West Edmonton Mall wave pools sessions are starting up. We run the wave pool sessions in two ways. The first is an “all access” session – these 3 hour sessions are open to the public and consist of 2 hours of flat water paddling for those looking to try out the sport.   The cost is $5.00 per person and boards and paddles are provided. As I was finishing a paddle on the river this summer a gentleman approached me and asked a bit about SUP. This happens to me quite a bit – so it was nothing out of the ordinary . . . except when he mentioned that he was building his own wooden SUP. Well Rob answered my call for photos by sending me a couple of shots of his beautiful wooden SUP. The first one is before the finish coats – and then a shot of him enjoying it in Jasper. Looks amazing.
