Spring time in Alberta means two things – The closing out of snowboard season, and the start of motorcycle season. For the past 3 years I have combined the two into one awesome day trip to Sunshine Village in Banff. Leaving Edmonton at 6:00 AM on a motorcycle, in May can really be a gamble in terms of the weather. The 30th Annual Easy Rider Snowboard Cup – presented by Burton – was AWESOME. Panorama built us an amazing course – and mother nature more or less cooperated with nice weather. 345 competitors took part in the event, which is the second largest turn out in history. Our suppliers once again “stepped up” with over $60,000.00 worth of draw prizes. Â Thank you! And of course we can’t forget Lester Quitzau playing on the deck Sunday afternoon before the awards.
