Every year since 1989 I have been going to the Snow sports Industry of America (SIA) Trade Show to look at next seasons snowboard gear. Mt. Baker!

Mt. Baker ski area is located in Washington state at the end of Highway 542.  Really.  The highway heads east from Seattle – and ends in the Mt. Baker parking lot.  It is part of the Cascade mountain range.   Baker holds the world record for snowfall in a single season at 1140 inches (95 feet) / 2896 cm (29 meters)   YES – 95 FEET or 29 METERS OF SNOW.    The mountain is a two hour drive from Vancouver, or a little over an hour from Abbotsford, BC.
