This past weekend I was invited down to Mervin Manufaturing. in Washington state to have a factory tour. Mervin is the parent company of Lib Tech and Gnu.  They also make Roxy Snowboards as well. In early March I was at my desk finishing orders for next winters snowboard gear when I got a phone call from the sales manager at Mervin (the parent company of Lib Tech and Gnu) – he asked what I was doing the coming weekend?  I replied – finishing my orders and planning for the 26th Annual Snowboard Cup.  He asked if I could get to Revelstoke on Friday evening? The 26th Annual Easy Rider Snowboard Cup – presented by Burton Snowboards at Panorama Mountain Resort was once again the highlight of The Easy Rider snowboard season. We had  226  competitors show up to race the  Banked Slalom and take part in the new and super FUN – Handplant Contest. Saturday morning saw the first run of the Banked Slalom take place – It was a typical Panorama spring Bluebird day.  Competitors took their race run in between FUN runs on the mountain.   At the end of the day we had our 1st ever Handplant Contest.
